Java, Blawan Estate (Strong Roast)

Cup Profile A very full flavoured and hearty coffee with sweet notes of dark plums. Some tasters report slight suggestions of cinnamon and dark coco.

Notes
Essentially for those favouring dark full roast coffees with a lingering typical strong roast coffee flavour. Blawan estate was one of four old farms (Kayumas, Blawan, Djampit and Pancoer) that date back to Dutch colonialism and are located in East Java in the vicinity of the Ijen volcanoes on the high plateaux of 4,500 feet.

Espresso Blend or After Dinner Blend

Strong rich after dinner roast
Our in-house espresso blend of coffees is made up from five countries (as you can see in the photo) each contributing to bring a richly satisfying after dinner roasted coffee with a thick crema that lasts. This is our flagship coffee, ideal for cappuccinos.

Drinking Notes
A very smooth coffee of full body, and having excellent aroma.
Note that this is the one exception to the 100% arabica rule. It contains 20% of Ugandan robusta, typically added to espresso blends to impart a 'bite' to the body and improve the characteristics of the crema.

Roast: medium dark

Morning Blend

A lighter blend of 100% arabica coffees having a South American base to which sweet and fragrant coffees have been added to give a blend very satisfying in the morning when a darker coffee may be too strong.

Drinking Notes
A lighter coffee with slightly floral notes and having a fragrant aroma

Sumatra, Mandheling District (nr.Lake Toba) full dark roast

Cup Profile
A very heavy bodied, rich, smooth South East Asian coffee. There's such a great, ink-black sweetness in this cup, with overtones of dark toffee with lingering dark caramelised sugar and some even say, spiced rum, all adding to  the overall "noir" character of this cup.

Notes
Sumatra Mandheling coffee grows in Padang’s west-central region between 2,500 and 5,000 feet above sea level. Sumatra Mandheling is a great coffee for espresso drinks, taking milk or cream well without loss of flavour. Customers who like powerful strong dark Italian roasts keep coming back for this one.

Roast: very dark

Organic Decaf (Brazilian Origin)
Special Grade AA - 100% Arabica

CO2 Decaf Process - removes the caffeine but none of the flavour

Cup Profile
A chocolaty fragrance, medium body and medium-high acidity, with a pleasant, yet intense, aroma.

Drinking Notes
My customers praise it in the best way possible by commenting simply, 'tastes like a dark rich roasted coffee not at all like a decaf!' For those who suffer from 'coffee insomnia' or have other caffeine related problems, this is way for you to enjoy coffee at breakfast, lunch or after dinner.

India, Monsoon Malabar

Cup Profile
Creamy, sweet, with hints of caramel

Drinking Notes
To create the 'monsooned' crop, the green coffee is open warehoused, allowing moist tropical breezes to blow through. The beans absorb moisture, losing a degree of natural acidity and at roast time, produce a richer yet mellower beverage.

Roast: dark
